Beautiful hiking route with historical and scenic impressions.
The largely flat, well-developed circular hiking route ideally connects landscape and history. A milestone at the Hartenberg viewpoint and the eponymous art park on Forggenseestraße recall the old Roman road today. A worthwhile short detour is the visit to the freshly renovated Fischhauskapelle St. Ulrich (key available on request next door) at the eponymous formerly prince-bishop’s estate.

The route starts at the village square in Roßhaupten. From the church, head north on the main street and Weberweg onto Lussestraße. Past the Fischhaus and Huttlerweiher you reach the Via Claudia milestone and Via Claudia art park. The route leads back to Roßhaupten via the sports ground/parking lot (after the underpass of B 16 onto Tiefenbrugger Straße into the village centre).
The circular route is marked with a "3" on the hiking trail signs.
Except for a short gravel section at Hartenberg, the entire route runs on asphalted side roads or bike/pedestrian paths.
