The five-kilometer-long Three Castles Trail in Pforzheim takes you back to the Middle Ages and past three mystical castle ruins through the beautiful rafting village of Dillweißenstein.
This cozy hike invites hiking enthusiasts to a small journey through time. The Three Castles Trail is located in the Pforzheim district of Dillweißenstein. The route passes the witnesses of times long gone: the mystical castle ruins of Hoheneck, Krähenek, and Rabeneck.
The medieval Hoheneck Castle was built around 1100.
The Krähenek served as a defense structure for the Weißenstein castle hill in the 13th or 14th century.
The medieval Rabeneck was a minor noble’s castle and now houses a youth hostel.
The path follows the Nagold river and winds through the romantic Dillweißenstein with its old half-timbered houses and passes by small, lovingly maintained garden plots, as well as small forest trails. The route is perfect for culture enthusiasts.
