The route passes along the shores of Längsee to St. Georgen Abbey, close to the west shore where the Georgium winery tends and cultivates its sea of vines.
Start at the beach bath, follow hiking trail no. 8 on the sidewalk towards the abbey; upon reaching the abbey continue on hiking trail no. 8 slightly uphill to Rottenstein Castle. After passing the castle, switch from the asphalt path to a forest path leading to Drasendorf. There you leave hiking trail no. 8 and take the connecting path no. 1a past several houses until you meet a forest path to rejoin hiking trail no. 8 and follow it further until the finish point at the beach bath.

Roadbook
From the parking lot - follow the sidewalk towards the abbey - pass the abbey parking lot to the intersection towards Rottenstein - turn left and follow the signs to the Rottenstein castle grounds. At the fork near the castle grounds, continue left towards Drasendorf. Then follow a forest path with beautiful views of the lake along the way. The forest path leads to Drasendorf, where you follow the Rottensteinerweg until it crosses with the Wolschartweg; here turn left and then shortly after turn right at the "Marterl" down onto the Kirchbergweg. Take the next turn (highly recommended before taking the turn to walk a few more meters towards the lake and enjoy the wonderful view from the viewing platform), also Kirchbergweg, go through a settlement back into the forest where you then turn left and reach a wonderful view of the lake, the abbey, and the Karawanken mountains in the background. Crossing fields, you reach a short forest section and then turn left towards Töplach and follow the path until you cross the state road, cross it, and continue left back to the beach bath.
