Sidorovo (1099 m above sea level) is a prominent peak located above Vlkolínec, near the top station of the cable car from Hrabovo. It offers great views of the Low and Western Tatras and the Liptov part of the Great Fatra. Numerous cliffs are very suitable for trips with children, who will also enjoy the mini zoo directly on the meadows below Sidorovo.
The Sidorovo peak is made of limestone and dolomites. It is characterized by the most massive rock walls and outcrops, best seen on the southern side. Rock spires appear in significant numbers on the eastern and western sides. The summit areas offer fairy tale-like views down into the valley as well as of the surrounding peaks. You can admire Vlkolínec, Biely Potok, Revúcka valley, and the more distant Low Tatras.

Roadbook
The route can be started at the Ružomberok Calvary, from where a gentle climb on the blue trail leads to the Vlkolínske meadows. The second option is to take the cable car from Hrabovo by the Hrabovo hotel. From the cable car top station, you reach the Vlkolínske meadows via the red trail. If you have time, we recommend a short detour to the Haliny viewpoint cliff on the left side, the turnoff is marked immediately after exiting the cable car. Along the way, you can refresh yourself at the Malina hotel. Fathers and teenagers can be “parked” at the Malinô Brdo Bike Park. From the Vlkolínske meadows crossroads, you can visit a mini zoo with a playground after a few minutes walk on the yellow trail. From the crossroads at Vlkolínske meadows, there is about a one-hour climb to the top of Sidorovo on the red trail. You can return either by the already described ascent options or continue on the red trail towards the Ružomberok Calvary. The route passes through a beautiful pine forest and on the last section above the Calvary, a wonderful view of the panorama of Ružomberok, Chočské vrchy, and the Western Tatras awaits you.
