Within 7.6 kms this route showcases the meadows and the forest of Pertouli, through mountainous trails, with lots of significant cultural items for one to see.
The route, initially, passes by the church of Koimisi tis Theotokou (Assumption of the Virgin) and descends to Pertouliotika Livadia (Pertouli's meadows). It crosses the meadows using rural roads and paths parallel to the river flow, offering the hiker an experience of the wetland.
While in the meadows, the route goes by the church of Agia Kyriaki and the guerrillas monument, places significant for the history of this area. Then follows a slightly ascending path that crosses the forest of Pertouli, at Paleokopri. The route crosses the rural road that leads to Boudoura, moves on a path through the forest and then gently descends towards the village. Shortly before reaching the settlement, the route passes through the remains of the British WWII Headquarters. After that, a rural road leads hikers to the village square.
Author’s recommendation
Take only memories, leave only footprints. Ants and other insects or animals have not yet discovered how to consume plastic. Take all rubbish back with you.
Don’t start a fire if you feel cold. Try walking faster.
Smoking on the trail will not help in anything. Neither you, nor the risk of fire.
Local people are not a tourist sight! If you want to take a picture, kindly ask. They will certainly smile to you!
If you find a door on the trail, pass freely, and leave it as you found it.
Stay on the trail. There is a reason why for many centuries people chose to walk on them and not elsewhere.

Tips and suggestions
Pertouli is wonderful in every season, as each one highlights a different beautiful aspect.
You can walk all year round, except of the winter months when snow might be obstructing some of the trails. Spring and Fall are considered to be the best seasons to hike, thanks to the pleasant temperature and the colourful nature. Because of the altitude, the wind might be cold. In summer (july, august), during some days it might be a little hot to hike.
