This monument stands here to honor the guerilla army whose headquarters were located here in 1943.
"A guerrilla, a thief, a lad is always the people themselves." In Pertouli, in 1943, the General Headquarters of the National Liberation Army - ELAS was established. With its establishment, the People's Army acquires for the first time that central administration that will provide it with a unified and coordinated guidance against the occupying forces.
