On the hiking trail, with moderate ascents and descents, you can enjoy the unmistakable views into the Palatinate Mountain Range.
A visit to the Protestant Church "St. Maria" in Offenbach-Hundheim and a small refreshment with the option of Segway riding at the Obstbrennerei Wolf - definitely worthwhile.

Any hiker who walks through closed areas (tape, "Caution Hunting" etc.), even on weekends, acts with gross negligence and is responsible for their own actions!

Especially in autumn, please note that fallen leaves, unevenness, roots, stones, or holes on the ground can obscure the path.
You must expect such path impairments if you undertake a hike.
If you consider certain trail sections impassable, you should detour or possibly report this directly to the "Palatinate Mountain Range" tourism office (06841-424-270).
Particularly in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can become muddy and slippery.

Protestant Church in Offenbach-Hundheim (www.regionalgeschichte.net)
The Protestant church originally belonged to the former Benedictine provostry St. Maria, which was a filial monastery of the Abbey St. Vinzenz in Metz. The advocatus of the monastery was the noble Reinfried von Rüdesheim. Additionally, the monastery had jurisdiction over the markets of Offenbach and its own legal authority. In 1474, the monastery was transferred to the Palatinate County Palatinate-Zweibrücken and in 1754, after an exchange, it belonged to the Rhine Counts of Grumbach.
The construction of the Protestant church began in 1225 in the late Romanesque and early Gothic style and was completed in 1250. The three-nave nave, equipped with a figure portal and comprising a total of four bays, was completed in 1300 and was demolished in 1808/1810 except for the southeast side bay. From 1892 to 1894, under the direction of district building inspector Koch and government master builder Bennstein, the east bay was renewed and an additional central nave bay was built.
In the southeast, there are polygonal apses of different heights, built in various construction phases. The forechoir is the oldest section and was probably built by a master builder from the Maulbronn workshop. The two following arms of the transept are attributed to a master builder from Lorraine. The northern transept arm has a rectangular ground plan. The northern transept is mainly characterized by Gothic forms. The fourth phase was the construction of the nave, and finally, the crossing tower was erected.
Regarding the furnishings, a late Romanesque main altar has been preserved, located above a crypt in the choir polygon. Lavabos decorated with a trefoil pattern are housed in the side apses. The glazing of the transept windows is also very striking. They date from 1850 and depict the adoration and transfiguration of Christ. The west windows were made by Fritz Geiger and feature scenes of the Sermon on the Mount. In the choir, there is a Passion depiction by Heinrich Oidtmann from 1890. The Protestant church has one of the most magnificent organs in the region, built in 1970 by Karl Schuke especially for the old and neo-Gothic case.
