Medieval gem in the Glan Valley.
A fine example of the caring preservation of a 12th century monument is the Hirsau Chapel near the hamlet of Hundheim, situated off in the meadowland, with its 13th century wall paintings in the chancel. They were discovered in 1901. 25 years ago, the completely preserved medieval painting was successfully restored. The attraction of the building is the contrast between the original style and the early and late Gothic window elements.
