Loreley circuit

The tour starts at the market with a view of the historic town hall. Pass left by the town hall gallery and turn left into Brückenstraße. At the end of the street, turn right to reach the Pöppelmann stone bridge. Just before the bridge, turn left and then follow the path. Past the stone tree (in remembrance of the floods of 2002 and 2013), the former slaughterhouse (Fliesen Lechner) and the old ladies' glove factory, you are on the Lutherweg, following its signposting. Walk right along the country road and follow the street route to Bahren. In Bahren, turn into Loreleystraße and at the fork go right, passing the weekend settlement "Loreley" then a forest area follows. Keeping right in the forested area, you reach the rock massif "Prinzengrotte." From the forest area, the path/street to the left leads through the historically significant workers' settlement "Kamerun" of the former Golzern paper mill, the Schröder villa and the historic village fountain. At the sports field, turn slightly right into Straße des Kindes and at the end of the street turn right to follow the route. After the motorway bridge, turn left and then take the second left again. Follow the path and at the first opportunity turn left. On the right, you see the clay quarry Hohnstädt. After about 400 meters, cross the motorway A14. Then turn right into Wedniger Straße, at the end of the street turn left into Seumestraße and immediately right into Schillerstraße. The Göschenhaus with the private classical garden invites you to take a short break. Then continue along Schillerstraße heading south. After a few meters, turn right into "Hohle" and cross Wurzener Straße (B 107). Kiefernweg turns into Fliederweg. Follow the route and at the dog training field, turn left to Rappenbergring. Follow the street route. Before the second right turn, there is a viewpoint with seating facilities. The wonderful view of Grimma invites you here too for a short rest. Continue left along the route into Nordstraße. Turn left into Wiesenstraße and after a few meters take the small path on the right and turn left into the avenue. Arriving at the traffic light intersection, the starting point is reached by crossing the Hohnstädter Straße on the right.
