The anniversary route for the 50th community birthday leads cycling and hiking enthusiasts along historic sites in Niederkrüchten and parts of the Brüggen castle community – a varied discovery tour through nature and history.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the municipality of Niederkrüchten in 2022, a new cycling and hiking route was developed that takes visitors on a special discovery tour through the region. The route specifically passes historically significant sites that have been little considered in existing tours so far, thus combining nature experience with cultural education.
Along the route, historical sites, monuments, and distinctive landscapes can be explored. Sections run not only through Niederkrüchten itself but also through parts of the Brüggen castle community, with which the route planning was jointly developed. The anniversary route thus offers a varied experience for cyclists and hikers who want to combine history, nature, and regionality in one tour.
Whether families, culture enthusiasts, or nature lovers – the route is suitable for all who want to actively discover Niederkrüchten and its surroundings. Numerous sights, charming villages, and quiet landscapes invite you to experience the region's diversity, feel history up close, and simultaneously enjoy the joy of outdoor activity.
