The start is at the hiking car park in Achtal. From there you start on a farm road that leads you to a path over the Schönkahler Alm 1456 m (Pfrontener Alpe: not managed) to the summit. On the way back you either take the same way or you do a circular route via the Bärenmoosalpe (1270 m). For the circular route you descend again to the Pfrontener Alpe. Then follow the sign "Bärenmoosalm" (managed from June to September). After a stop there, the path leads through the "Himmelreich" into Allgäu mountain forest (farm roads) and back to the starting point.

Hallo Jürgen Sonnemeyer, die Wanderung wird aufgrund der Gesamtlänge und der Höhenmeter als schwer eingestuft. Für einen geübten Wanderer muss diese Einschätzung allerdings nicht unbedingt zutreffen. Vielen Dank! Das ging ja sehr schnell. Es wäre allerdings gut, wenn sich die alpine Skala (blau, rot, schwarz analog leicht, mittel, schwer) durchsetzen würde. Die km und die hm kennt man ja und muss sich selbst einschätzen. Die Schwierigkeit bezieht sich dann nur auf technische Schwierigkeiten. Eine Vermischung macht die Skala unklar. Den Weg finde ich vor allem interessant, weil er von der üblichen Route von Süden abweicht. Viele Grüße Jürgen
