The Yellow 70, a well-established endurance route, includes a 20-kilometer section that covers the middle part of the entire yellow trail from Pilisvörösvár to Hűvösvölgy.
One great advantage of the 20-kilometer distance starting from Pilisvörösvár is that it allows a wide time interval for completion: both start and finish are open for 6 hours. After the start, the yellow trail winds between Solymár, Nagykovácsi and Máriaremete, touching several viewpoints. These include the panorama of Zsíros-hegy, which, although it requires a detour, is well worth visiting. From the bald summit you can observe the landscapes of the Pilis and Budai Mountains in a panoramic view. The route also passes through the beautiful Alsó-Jegenye valley, ensuring plenty of scenic valley experiences.
Along the walk, you will encounter natural values as well as cultural sights, but there isn’t much time for sightseeing (you must reach the finish in Hűvösvölgy by 14:00). With good strength and time management, however, this is a comfortably doable route, though the “comfort” is mainly determined by your physical endurance. Those who have previously only walked 10-kilometer distances are advised to start at one of the shorter Yellow endurance routes: the Yellow 15 or 10.
