Route description:
The Nyakas Kör routes start underneath the Biatorbágy railway viaduct on the red trail. The viaduct is the only paired railway valley bridge in Hungary, further special because in the 1940s it was reinforced with a rare engineering solution – an additional belt.
In the outskirts of Biatorbágy, turning left by the football field, encircling the Közép-hegy, then turning left from the broader forest road into the hillside, we reach the Szily Chapel. After the chapel, after a few hundred meters turning right, a beautiful meadow and a view open before us towards Biatorbágy and the Biai lake. From here along the rocky edge of the Tétény-Sóskút plateau, with stunning panoramas, we reach Nyakas-kő, which is also decorated on the route's medals.
At Nyakas-kő, the two distances separate: the 13 km loop turns left before the rock within the inhabited area, then leaves the road towards the Biai forest, soon joining the 25 km route.
After leaving the hill, following a longer descent and leaving an asphalt road, we turn left. A short forest section follows, then a high overgrown meadow, from which descending a short serpentine we reach the steep climb leading to the Hármas rock, from where we reach the Kő-orr on Kő-hegy, crowning the route with a worthy panorama.
After a left turn from the side of Kő-hegy, we descend and enter Biatorbágy. Passing by the Trianon memorial cross and under the viaduct, we finally finish our route at the Nikoletta confectionery opposite the park on Alkotmány street.
