“Hiking at a high level” – the Rheinsteig trail delivers what it promises. In the Rheingau, the premium trail leads along the edge of the Taunus hills. Again and again, the view opens up to the vineyards or the Rhine.
Breathe peace, hear silence, feel your soul: the Rheingau Klostersteig, certified as a quality trail by the German Hiking Association, connects six monasteries, some of which are still active. The Wispertaunus-Steig trail leads from the Limes World Heritage Site to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site. Fourteen other premium trails promise a wildly romantic hiking experience.
Brand new: Rheingau Geflüster combines a city and vineyard walk with audio clips, texts, images, and films that can be easily scanned, played, and collected with a smartphone. The whole thing is a great tour that can be started in any order and experienced at your own pace. With the interactive city tour “WIESBADEN IM OHR” (WIESBADEN IN YOUR EAR), you can experience the typical sounds of the Hessian state capital at 12 stations.
