Wollmerschied Border Path

Wollmerschied once belonged to the Free State of Flaschenhals. Wollmerschied once belonged to the Free State of Flaschenhals and today is surrounded on three sides by Rhineland-Palatinate. The path follows the border for a stretch – partly along historic traces. A boundary stone with the Mainz wheel recalls that the Rheingau belonged to the Diocese of Mainz for centuries. The enjoyable round leads through gentle meadow landscapes and secluded forests in the valleys of Werkerbach and Bienbach.
