DAV Sektion Oberland Verified partner
The Oberland section was founded in 1899 in Munich. Around 180,000 members (including about 90,000 Plus members of the Munich section) belong to the Oberland section, about one seventh of the total members of the German Alpine Club. In the mountaineering city on the Isar, the Munich section and the Oberland section are the largest active sports clubs, only surpassed by FC Bayern. Accordingly, the range of offerings for their members is extensive.
The main tasks and goals of the section are the training and tour program, alpine nature and environmental protection, as well as the maintenance of huts and trails.
