A mystical forest near the river, ancient stone bridges, and a forgotten path as a return route where you can encounter European glass lizards.
The primeval tree population in the Orahovštica valley is covered with lichens, mosses, and ferns and creates a atmospheric "enchanted forest." Two stone bridges complement this well; they are centuries old but still solid and sturdy across the river today.
The return path from Dupilo to Braćeni is partly very overgrown and requires a bit of "fighting spirit" from the hiker to get through. However, it is easy to encounter the impressive appearance of a European glass lizard (Pseudopus apodus) here, which can reach a length of up to 140 cm and looks like a mighty snake, but as a lizard is completely harmless and inoffensive.
The last section was once an "Austrian" military road, whose impressive retaining wall runs across a rubble field. After the outbreak of World War I, this path was never completed.

Babina Glava (Lovćen) – Circular route
Roadbook
From the train station, you first walk southwest along a side street and then follow it over a sharp right turn to the main road M-2. Here, turn left and continue for about 200 meters before crossing the road and, on the other side, cross a parking lot parallel to the road to the next right turn and turn there. Now follow a side street slightly downhill and in a right curve to the Orahovštica river. At low water, you can cross a ford; otherwise, turn left and follow the road to the next curve. Here, a footpath branches off straight ahead, running through a meadow along the river and reaches a makeshift concrete footbridge that can be used for crossing. On the other side, follow a narrow track to the left to a marked junction. Here, a dirt path leads sharply left down to the old stone bridge called "Babin most." On the other side of the river, follow the markings to the labeled junction "Javor," where you can visit some rapids on the Orahovštica on an overgrown path to the right. Shortly after this junction, the marked route leaves the gravel road and branches right into the forest. An idyllic section follows on a mossy stone path under lichen-covered trees until you finally reach a ford that is not easy to cross at high water. Shortly afterward, you reach the old stone bridge called "Opačac" with a picnic area next to it.
On the other side of the bridge, turn right and follow the markings toward "Dupilo." The path initially runs along the river and then climbs in switchbacks until it reaches a track again by the first houses, where you turn right. Where a marked junction leads right ("River"), continue straight ahead on the track ("Komarno") and, after a right curve, turn sharply left to follow a track steeply uphill through the hamlet of Dupilo, which was only partially rebuilt after an earthquake. Ignore a left turn and, at the next fork where there is a church to the right, turn left. Then you reach a T-junction and follow a narrow road to the right, flat, to the first left curve. A wooden sign with the inscription "Virpazar" points right into the forest and leads to an overgrown old footpath. Along red markings, you reach a dirt track that soon turns back into a path leading over a hill in the forest and along moss-covered stone walls. Partly very overgrown but still traceable everywhere, the former connecting path leads over another hill. At a T-junction in the forest, follow the markings to the right and soon reach rocky terrain. Then go downhill through the forest. The path eventually becomes a massive military road with a retaining wall that crosses a long rocky slope and finally leads to a gravel track. You reach a road and follow it in long switchbacks with a beautiful view of Lake Skadar down to the main road M-2 at the edge of Virpazar. There, take an underpass on the right side to reach the town center, where a footpath at the tourist center leads diagonally right out of the town back to the main road M-2. After a few meters, turn left onto the access road to the station to return to the starting point.
Shortcut option 1:
In Dupilo, you can follow the markings toward "River" to return to the side street from which you branched off to "Babin most," and walk back to Virpazar along this road.
Shortcut option 2 (short version):
You can also drive by car along the narrow side street by the Orahovštica to the junction of the dirt track leading to "Babin most" to start and finish the circular route there.
