Lentiirajärven katkaisee etelä-pohjoisuunnassa puolivälissä Käntinsalmi, jonka ympäristöön on rakentunut historiallinen Lentiiran kylä.
Lentiiran Käntinsalmen veneranta ja veneenlaskupaikka palvelee niin kyläläisiä kuin muita.
Käntisalmen ranta toimii hyvänä lähtöpisteenä melojille. Rannasta voi suunnata joko Lentiirajärven monimuotoisille vesille tai siitä voi lähteä kulkemaan Kainuun Tervareittiä kohti Kuhmon keskustaa.
Rannan yhteydessä on hyvä uimalaituri.
Kuhmon pohjoisosassa sijaitseva Lentiirajärvi on luonnonkaunis erämaajärvi ja se soveltuu erinomaisesti vesiretkeilyyn, kalastukseen ja melontaan.
