A mai, pirosra festett fa keresztet 1984-ben állították, és hat nagy kocsánytalan tölgy veszi körbe. Mellettük padokkal és asztalokkal felszerelt pihenőt alakítottak ki. Erre vezet át a Kőszegi-hegységet átszelő erdészeti aszfaltozott út, amely népszerű kerékpáros útvonal, de itt vezet az Országos Kéktúra is.
A Vörös-kereszttől kelet felé könnyen elérhető az Óház-kilátó, délnyugati irányban pedig a Kendig csúcsa kínálkozik.
