Continuous ascent from Baiersbronn-Obertal to the Schwarzwaldhochstraße. Hardly any notable climbs up to Schmidsberger Platz. Just before St. Roman another noticeable climb, followed by descent kilometers to Wolfach. Pleasant cycling in the Kinzig valley to Haslach.

The cycle path initially runs along Rechtsmurgstraße (K 4735) to turn left at Buhlbachsaue. Through the national park, on good forest roads, it climbs back up to the heights of the Northern Black Forest and reaches near Zuflucht the Schwarzwaldhochstraße (B500). Up to Alexanderschanze, the cycle path runs to the right of B 500. After that, a section on the federal road before suddenly turning left. On forest roads, you reach Kniebis, orient yourself at the junction to the right – direction Bad Rippoldsau – and after about 500 m cross the road to the left. The next approx. 10 km to Zwieselberg run on partly very well-developed paths. Forest roads now dominate the ride over long stretches. The route is winding and with Roßberg you reach the first settlement. The path leads downhill to the right past Zieflesbrunnen to Schmidsberger Platz, above Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach. The descent follows exclusively through forests down to Waldhans and after a steep ascent to Kohlplatz above St. Romans. You reach Wolfach in the Kinzig valley after a scenic descent through the Übelbach/Langenbach. In Wolfach, the cycle path turns right opposite the town hall and runs along the Kinzig to Hausach, Fischerbach until the stage destination Haslach.

    Signposting:

On forest paths and side roads, traditional signposting applies: white signs with the red diamond of the Schwarzwaldverein with the bicycle symbol. The signs are attached to trees or signpost posts.

On routes that run on official cycle paths - e.g. RadNETZ-BW - route plaques can also be found on the public cycle signposts. On these, the route is marked by the usual green cycle path direction arrows.
