Protestant church
In the spring of 1898, Mathilde Müller, the landlady of the railway station at the time, donated a plot of land on Eisenbahnstraße to the Protestant parish "for the construction of a church".
Following the construction work, the Protestant church in Hausach was consecrated on the last Sunday in August 1904 by the then dean of the "Diocese of Hornberg", parish priest Mayer from St. Georgen.
The church, built in the neo-Gothic style, consists of a nave with a north aisle. The choir is (roughly) ogee-shaped and the square tower on the west side is set in front of the nave and almost integrated into the building. The entrance portal is located on its southern flank. The originally open porch was closed with an iron lattice door, which was later converted into a kind of vestibule when a wooden door was installed in 1954.
A granite staircase leads through this small vestibule into the nave. There is a second entrance on the north side with access to the church interior and a stone staircase leading up to the gallery.
The neighbouring vicarage was purchased by the widow Reich in 1927. In 1972, the office was added on the side facing Eichenstraße. The superstructure above the office was finally erected under Pastor Dinse. Today, parts of the vicarage are rented out to the deaconry.
The parish hall on the opposite side to the vicarage was built in 1957/58. The property was acquired in a swap with the railway company and was extended again in the 1980s through a swap with the Streit company.
