Gentle incline from Gernsbach to Raumuenzach, but long sustained climb between Raumuenzach and Hundseck. Relaxed cycling on the Northern Black Forest heights to Ruhestein, from there descent to Baiersbronn-Obertal.

The Black Forest cycle path now runs upstream to Raumuenzach on the same track as the Tour de Murg. You can follow the route signage on the signposts of RadNETZ BW. A small challenge is the route at Langenbrand, the path leads under the federal highway to Langenbrand. In town, the cycle path turns right and initially runs halfway up towards Gausbach and then on to Forbach.

The route stays to the left of the Murg, passing the station and the historic wooden bridge comfortably to Raumuenzach. A bridge leads to the B 462 and from there you turn right onto the L 83 towards Hundsbach. After about 1 km, the route changes to the L 80b and then climbs up to Hundseck on the Black Forest High Road. Above the B 500 the path now leads on forest roads towards Mummelsee, first via Unterstmatt and then with a slight incline to Mummelsee. After that, the path leads left onto a forest path to Seibelseckle and further on forest roads towards Darmstadt hut down to Ruhestein. There you turn left onto the L 401 towards Baiersbronn-Obertal, then after about 500 m sharply to the right onto a forest path. Along the Rotmurg follows a relaxed descent to Baiersbronn-Obertal.

    Signage:

On forest paths and secondary roads, traditional signage applies: white signs with the red lozenge of the Black Forest Association with the bicycle symbol. They are attached to trees or signposts.

On routes that follow official cycle paths – e.g. RadNETZ-BW – route plaques can also be found on public cycle route signposts. On these the on-route signage is provided by green cycle route arrow signs.

From 2025.04.30, Stage 2 from Unterstmatt, the route runs newly on the tourist cycle path 11 up to Mummelsee. Signposting is done using route logos at cycle signpost locations and green arrow signs in between.

From Ruhestein, the route was restored to the original routing and runs parallel to tourist cycle paths 4, 7, and 8. The same signage rules apply as before.

2024.09.16, Ruhestein at the National Park Center, the route guidance was changed. A few meters after crossing the road, the cycle path leads right down into the forest and shortly after meets the original route again.

2024.07.17, between Seibelseckle and Ruhestein, change of routing.

2024.05.24, minor adjustments in Baiersbronn-Obertal. The digital route was adapted to the actual route on site.
