Inmitten eines Hochmoors zwischen Wild- und Mummelsee, Hornisgrinde und Schwarzwaldhochstraße liegt - abseits aller Hektik die Darmstädter Hütte. Die Hütte liegt direkt am Westweg und ist nur zu Fuß erreichbar. Im Winter sind ums Haus 20 km Loipen gespurt.
