Im Tal der Murg

Die Weisenbacher Kapelle wurde urkundlich erstmals im Jahre 1404 erwähnt. - Im Jahr 1481 wurde sie zur provisorischen Pfarrkirche für Weisenbach, Reichental, Au und Langenbrand. Der Grundstein zum Bau der heutigen Weisenbacher Kirche wurde am 29. August im Jahr 1841 gelegt. Nach vier Jahren Bauzeit, am 23. September 1845, wurde die Kirche eingeweiht. Die alte Kirche wurde im Jahr 1833 mit ein Opfer der damaligen Brandkatastrophe. Große Verdienste hat sich der einheimische Baumeister Johann Belzer beim Bau der Kirche erworben.
