Bal felé a Balaton víztükre csillog, hátrébb a Keszthelyi-hegység, közelebb pedig Szigliget hegyei magasodnak a tópart fölé. A szigligeti vár sziluettje a sötét háttér miatt nem adja könnyen magát, de ha célirányosan keressük, megláthatjuk. A jellegzetes alakú Csobánc és Gulács is előttünk van.
Kialakulását tekintve a Badacsony bazaltsapkás tanúhegy: az évmilliókkal ezelőtti vulkanizmus során a forró, folyékony bazaltláva tavat alkotva terült szét. Kihűlve igen kemény védősapkát biztosított a hegynek, megvédve azt az erózió alacsonyító hatásától. A plató élesen leszakadó pereméről számos kiváló panoráma nyílik. A Tördemici-kilátóhelyet felkeresve is egy ilyen pontról nézelődünk.

Public transport
- A Badacsonytördemic-Szigliget vasútállomásra Tapolca vagy Székesfehérvár (és Budapest) felől érkeznek vonatok. Utazhatunk ugyanide busszal is.
- Vezet fel út Badacsonylábdihegy vasúti megállóhelyről is.

- A Badacsonytördemic-Szigliget vasútállomásról az Országos Kéktúra K jelzése vezet föl a fennsík peremére. A Bujdosók lépcsője tetején a K jobbra fordul, mi viszont induljunk balra a K▲ jelen! (2,4 km, 290 m szintemelkedés.)
- Badacsonylábdihegy vasúti megállóhelyről a S jelzésen induljunk el, majd ahol a P jel becsatlakozik, váltsunk arra bal felé! Hamarosan a Bujdosók lépcsőjének nekivágó K jelzésen találjuk magunkat: kövessük ezt a hegytetőig! A balra kiágazó K▲ jelzés vezet el a kilátóhelyhez. (2,2 km, 295 m szintemelkedés.)
Parking
- A Badacsonytördemic-Szigiliget vasútállomás előtt ingyenes parkolóban hagyhatjuk az autót.
- Badacsonylábdihegy állomásával szemben, a 71-es főút túloldalán találunk ingyenes parkolóplaccot.
