Maps and trails
Those who take a vacation in Graz do not only enjoy a picturesque old town. Nature lovers can also find plenty of opportunities to escape the city in the Graz mountain region. A very popular excursion destination is the Thaler Lake, around which you can take a leisurely walk. Those who prefer something more sporty grab their poles and walk from Straßgang to Wetzelsdorf.

Nice hike above the city of Graz, several viewpoints are spread across the hike. Paths are generally quite easy, allowing them to easily run in the descents. Some climbs are pretty steep, the overall activity is challenging. The end of the hike is not closed, contrary to what is stated in the description.

You can skip the first 8 km if you only want to hike the mountain and reach Schöckl top.
