Roadbook
The route starts at the parking lot at GH Meinhart (open Tue - Fri) in Wenisbuch.
Alternatively, the route can also be conveniently started using public transport (Tram line 1, station Waldhof/Rettenbachklamm).
First, the path leads southwards via Janischhofweg. The Buschenschank Pölzer (http://www.konradpoelzer.at/) has several alpacas here that you pass by.
At Obstbau Pölzer, the marked hiking trail leads down through the orchard via Rabensteinerweg. The path then follows more or less along the stream through the Rettenbachklamm to Mariatroster Straße.
After a short stretch on the main road heading out of town, you leave it again and go uphill on Himmelreichweg. The area quickly becomes rural and quieter again. There are several nice viewpoints with views of the Mariatrost Basilica. You also pass a red deer enclosure.
Now you head north via small forest paths. The last meters are covered on the Hauensteinweg and you soon arrive back at the starting point.
