An seinem Weiterlauf, dem Mühlbach, standen sechs Mühlen. Leinöl-Mühlen, Ober-, Mittlere- und Untere Mühle (jeweils Mahl-, Säge- und Pleumühle), sowie die Hammerschmiede und Lohnmühle.
Die gute Qualität unseres Gebirgs-Quellwassers ist eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für die Herstellung ausgezeichneter Biere.
Der Wasserfall ist mit einer kurzen Wanderung vom Parkplatz der Alpspitzbahn aus zu erreichen. Von hier an begleiten einen Wegweiser durch den Wald. Während man am Anfang nur ein kleines Bächlein plätschern hört, nimmt man nach dem Anstieg der steilen Treppen einen wilden, tobenden Wasserfall wahr, welcher 90m hinab geht. Man sollte festes Schuhwerk tragen, da der Weg bei nasser Witterung oftmals rutschig und glatt ist.
