A Börzsöny egyik legizzasztóbb kaptatóját kell megmászni a 313 m magas Zuvári-hegy meghódításához. Jutalmunk a történelmi helyszín mellett a szép kilátás.
Gyakorlott természetjáróknak ajánljuk a Zuvári-hegy felkeresését: a csúcs minden oldala rendkívül meredek, a talaj pedig porhanyós, görgeteges, csúszós. Bár csak 313 m magas, a nehéz útvonal miatt mindenkinek emlékezetes lesz a néhai Zuvár meghódítása.
A hegytetőn néhai sáncvár csekély maradványait fedezhetjük fel: elsősorban az északi oldal sáncfalai szembetűnőek, de itt-ott falmaradványok rommezője is feltűnik. A Zuvár történelméről írásos emlékek híján csak nagyon keveset tudni, de a feltételezések szerint a tatárjárás után emelhették. A vár pusztulását ugyanígy homály fedi, de vélhetően a török időkben történt meg.
A csúcskő mellett találjuk a Várak a Börzsönyben jelvényszerző túra piros pöttyökből álló kódját. A túramozgalom 30 börzsönyi erősséget fűz fel, beleértve a hegység eldugottabb szegleteit is.
A Zuvári-hegyről főleg dél felé nyílik kilátás: a Csák-hegy bányájától Szobig pásztázhatjuk a tájat. Mivel nem állunk túl magasan, inkább a környéket vizsgálhatjuk részletesebben, de egy helyen a Duna vonala is megcsillan a nyugat felé mind szelídebb terepen. A hegy keleti oldalán kilátópontot találunk a PL jelű ösvényen, innen Márianosztrára látunk rá – a panorámát a Magyarok Nagyasszonya kegytemplom uralja.

- A legközelebbi buszmegálló a Szob, Ódamásd malomvölgy.
- Indulhatunk a Márianosztra, autóbusz-fordulóból is.

- A Szob, Ódamásd malomvölgy megállótól a közúton kell röviden Szob felé menni, majd a K jelzésű turistaúton jobbra kanyarodni. Az elágazásban a KL jelzésű ösvényre fordulva mászunk fel a Zuvárhoz (2,7 km, 114 m szintemelkedés).
- A Márianosztra, autóbusz-fordulótól a PL jelzésű turistautat kell követni (1,8 km, 163 m szintemelkedés).
