Wine view on the Eisenberg

The "Weinblick Observation Platform" is located on the southern slope of the Eisenberg amidst a vineyard. A special feature of the railing is that it is designed with 110 cm high glass walls, making the observation platform appear light and weightless. In 2008, "Weinblick" received the Wood Construction Award from the state of Burgenland.

The observation platform is part of the project "Das ökoEnergieland" and was built with the support of the municipality of Deutsch-Schützen in 2007. It is part of an experience world that aims to bring the theme of eco-energy closer to visitors through various structures and design concepts throughout southeastern Burgenland.

The goal is to draw the attention of visitors and residents of our region to the beautiful Pinkatal and the surrounding area. The distant view extends far into Hungary to the east, and to the south, the endless forests of the "Naturpark Weinidylle" stretch out. The municipalities of Deutsch-Schützen-Eisenberg, Bildein, and neighboring towns in Hungary lie at its feet. On clear days, one can see the Riegersburg (Stmk) and even the Koralpe (Carinthia).

Of course, one also has a beautiful view from the Eisenberg, but most visitors walk too carelessly through the cellar lanes. The platform is meant to encourage visitors to consciously look into the land and perceive its beauty.
