A Balaton felé nyitott, fedett faépület kiváló helyszín a balatoni madárvilág és az éjszakai égbolt megfigyelésére.
A Balatonon élő madárvilág megfigyelésére, valamint csillagok tanulmányozására is alkalmas fedett építmény az úgynevezett "Csillagvárta", azaz csillagmegfigyelő. A faépítmény építésekor elsődleges szempont volt a tájba illeszthetőség, valamint a természetes anyagok felhasználása.
A kissé megemelt, cölöpökön álló várta a nádasra, illetve a Balatonra néz. Körülötte információs táblákról tanulhatunk az éjszakai égbolt látnivalóiról és az innen látható csillagképekről. Az építmény közvetlenül a Balatoni Bringakörút mellett található, és találunk itt játszóteret, rovarhotelt, kerékpáros pihenőt és parkolót is.

- Ha vonattal érkeznénk, akkor a Csopak állomásnál szálljunk le.
- Távolsági buszokkal a Csopak, vasúti megállóhelynél szálljunk le.

- A vonatról leszállva óvatosan átmegyünk a főúton, és a szemközti Fürdő utcán lesétálunk a strand főbejáratáig, majd ott balra fordulunk. Ahogy kanyarodik a sétány, úgy kanyarodunk mi is, majd a kanyar után jobbra találjuk a Madárvártát (1 km).
