Az Országos Kéktúra ösvényén található kilátóhelyről a hegység két legmagasabb tömbjére nyílik panoráma.
Az Országos Kéktúra keleti-mátrai szakaszán gyalogolva az ösvény vonalvezetése és az erdőkép önmagában is izgalmas élmény. Ráadásul egymást követik a jobbnál jobb kilátópontok, mint amilyen a Kis-Sas-kő oldalán is található. Bár nincs látványos sziklája, nem nyújt magasságélményt, aki erre jár, mégis emlékezni fog e pontra.
A köves talajú, apró tisztás éppen akkora léket nyit az erdőben, hogy a keskeny ösvényen állva kilássunk észak felé és a Karancsra, illetve elfordulva a Galya-tető és a Kékes tömbjére. A hangulatos kilátópontot kidőlt, girbegurba fák és a hosszan elnyúló erdőség látképe teszik vadregényessé.
