A Mátra keleti gerincén vezető Kéktúraszakasz „stratégiai” pontja a Hármashatár nyerge, ahol pihenőhely és bivakolásra is alkalmas esőház áll.
A Nagy-Szár-hegy és a Hármashatár hegy közötti nyeregben áll a hármashatári pihenőhely, ahol az Országos Kéktúra pecsétje is megtalálható. A pihenőhely egy tűzrakóból, egy pad-asztal bútorból, illetve egy nagyobb esőházból áll.
A ház alkalmas éjjeli menedéknek is, cementpadlóján (2024 tavaszán) 2x2 raklap kínál fekhelyet. A pihenőpont mellett kis rét terül el.
A Hármashatár három hegylábi település, Parád, Markaz és Domoszló közös határpontjáról kapta a nevét.

Public transport
- A Kékestető, Mátrai Gyógyintézet (Gyöngyös) buszmegálló található a legközelebb a pihenőhelyhez.
- A Parádóhuta, harangláb buszmegállótól is indulhatunk.
- A Markaz, posta buszmegállóban szálljunk le, ha dél felől keresnénk fel a bivakhelyet.

Directions
- Kékestetőről a K jelzésen (az Országos Kéktúrán) érjük el a helyszínt (5,8 km, 53 m szintemelkedés).
- Parádóhutáról a S jelzést kövessük (délkelet felé) az első erdei elágazásig, ahol térjünk balra a P+ jelzésre. Erről a következő elágazásban váltsunk át jobbra a S+ jelzésre, ami csatlakozik a S jelzéshez. Ezt (jobbra) követve kapaszkodhatunk fel az Országos Kéktúrára, amelynek K jelzésén jobbra indulunk, ezen érjük el a helyszínt (8,1 km, 461 m szintemelkedés).
- Markazról a Z jelzést kövessük a Markazi-kapuig, ahol térjünk jobbra a K jelzésre, ez vezet a pihenőhelyhez (7,2 km, 520 m szintemelkedés).
Parking
- Kékestetőn több (fizetős) parkoló is található.
- Markaz központjában, a Dobó István utcán találunk parkolót.
