Forbach-Bermersbach - Freizeitanlage Giersteine
An einer besonders exponierten Stelle auf einer Bergkuppe bei Bermersbach stehen die Giersteine, viel besucht als einer der schönsten Aussichtspunkte in der Ferienregion Forbach. Die Giersteine sind eine Gruppe unterschiedlich großer Granitblöcke, 160 Meter steil über der Murg gelegen. Zwei Blöcke fallen durch ihre Größe,Vertiefungen und Rillen besonders auf. Der größere Block misst über 13 Meter Umfang. Die Vertiefungen und Rillen sind durch verschiedene Verwitterungsprozesse entstanden. Zahlreiche Sagen ranken sich um die Steine und bieten alternative Erklärungen für das eigentümliche Aussehen.
Neben den Giersteinen befindet sich die Bermersbacher Freizeitanlage. Verschiedene Spielgeräte, ein Bolzplatz und ein Barfußpfad laden zum Verweilen ein.
Im Herbst ist die Dahlienblüte an den Giersteinen ein besonderes Highlight.
