This panoramic hike is divided into three approximately equal sections, which you can also use according to your preference for shorter circular and point-to-point hikes. Section 1: south of Forbach, Section 2: over the Bermersbach ridge, Section 3: between Langenbrand and Gausbach. The connection points between the sections are located at the Langenbrand city train stop as well as right and left above Forbach at the Brückwaldanlage and at the Olympiaweg. The routes from Forbach station to the connections above are also signposted continuously in both directions.
Author’s recommendation
In Bermersbach, the highlights are close together: wildlife enclosure, the mill with bread oven, and the legendary Giersteine lie on the way. A visit to the Murgtal Museum is also worthwhile.

Roadbook
From the tourist information at the town hall, the first loop leads you over the wooden bridge and a narrow path up to the Mittleren Eckweg below the pavilion. Following this path, you reach Schifferstrasse and the old forester's house at Sasbachtal. Over a bridge, you cross to the other side of the Murg and follow the path uphill to the parking lot and the federal road. After crossing it, the path leads uphill via Holderbronnweg to the Naturfreundehaus. Then you pass the pressure pipelines of the Schwarzenbach plant and follow Kapellenstraße to the Marienkapelle above Forbach. At the junction with Klammstraße, keep left and immediately right into Mozartstraße. Via Rebbergweg, you arrive at the pavilion with a beautiful view of Forbach. Following the path, you get to the sports field of Bermersbach. A small loop from Turnerheim leads you over Mühlweg into the mountain village Bermersbach. Towards Giersteine, with recurring fantastic views of the Murg valley, it goes downhill to the Wolfsheck plant in the basin, and on the other side steadily back up to the district of Langenbrand. Almost constantly below the forest edge, there is much to see. This section towards Gausbach is the most scenic on this panoramic path. Past Gausbach's Hexenplatz, Langenbergweg leads to the Brückwaldanlage above Forbach. The return path to the starting point goes below the pavilion back towards the wooden bridge.
