A forrás környezete sokszor vizenyős, de a közelben növő enyves égerek az egykor itt jellemző, még nedvesebb élőhelyről árulkodnak. A kifolyót kőfal védi a domboldal felől, a vízhez pedig az oldalsó kőlépcsőkön juthatunk.
A régi foglalást 2011-ben felújították, a korhadó lábú asztalokat és padokat viszont óvatosan használjuk! A forrás közelében állt az egykor esőbeállóként működő Kinizsi-kunyhó, amely sajnos egy tűzvész áldozata lett. Ha a Várhely-kilátó felől érkezünk, figyeljünk arra, hogy a Szent György-forrás felé levezető K● jelzés esős időben csúszóssá válhat.
A forrás-jelzéseken (●) kívül erre vezet a Ciklámen tanösvény, ennek a lucfenyvesről szóló táblája mellett egy kis híd vezet a forráshoz.

- A buszmegállóból a Várhely utcán induljunk el, és a Ciklámen tanösvényt, illetve S● jelzést kövessük.
- A parkolóból a 700 méterre van a forrás a S●, illetve a tanösvény mentén.
Parking
- A Várhely utca végén, ahol az aszfalt földútba vált, találunk helyet parkolni.
