A hűs vizet adó forrás pihenő- és bemutatóhellyel csábítja megállásra a túrázókat.

A Sárcsi-kút

Az erdő fái között bújócskázó műút egyik patkó formájú kanyarjának szárán találjuk a Sárcsi-kutat. A víz a Kab-hegy vulkáni kőzettestében szalad lefelé a mélyben, majd az üledékes kőzetek repedései mentén bukkan a felszínre.

A tovacsörgedező ér útjába egy 4 méter magas, vízmosáskötő gátat emeltek a közelben, aminek eredményeképpen apró tavacska alakult ki. A festői vízfelület a környékbeli vadak itatóhelyeként működik, és az itt megtelepedett vízi élővilágnak is otthont ad. A mesterséges gát betonkolosszusát földdel fedve, füvesítve igyekeztek a környezetbe olvasztani.

Megéri egy rövid pihenőt beiktatni a helyszínen, hiszen a vízvételi lehetőség mellett a hangulatos tisztás komplett pihenőhelyet is kínál padokkal, asztalokkal, sütögetési lehetőséggel és esőbeállóval. Érdemes szemügyre venni a vadnyombemutatót és a kőtárat is.

Látnivalók a környéken

Érdemes végigjárni a Sárcsi-kutat (19-es állomás) is érintő, 4,1 km hosszú, 1999-ben kialakított tanösvényt.

Ajka irányába indulva ejtsük útba a Bányászati Múzeumot is, amit 1965-ben, a helyi szénbányászat 100. évfordulóján nyitottak meg. Felfedezhetjük a tragikus történetet tartogató Ármin-aknát és a katasztrófa „maradványait”, de láthatjuk a robusztus bányagépeket, a kibányászott kőzeteket, a bányászat hajdani szerszámait – sőt a bemutatótáróban akár a bányászok helyébe is képzelhetjük magunkat.
