Az Északi-Bükk egyik különösen vadregényes zuga a Csondró-patak szurdoka, amelynek mélyén, a Kemesnye-völgy torkolatánál kőfoglalásból fakad az Ámor-forrás. Közvetlenül az Odvas-kői-barlangszállás alatt találjuk, így főként több napos túrák fontos helyszíne.
A Bükk legszebb rengetegeit a legnehezebben megközelíthető, sziklás szurdokok mélyén találjuk. Ilyen a Csondró-völgy középső szakasza is, ahol az Ámor-forrás egy meanderező, ágakra szakadó patakmeder szélén fakad meredek hegyoldal lábánál. Kazinbarcikai természetjárók építették ki 1973-ban, a szervezett magyar természetjárás létrejöttének 100. évfordulóján.
A forrás gyenge hozammal, de annál tisztább vízzel tör elő a terméskő foglalás alján. Padot és asztalt nem, de barlangszállást találunk a forrás közelében: alig 100 méterrel lejjebb indul a sziklás hegyoldalban az az ösvény, ami az Odvas-kői-barlangszálláshoz vezet.

- A helyközi buszjáratokkal a Mályinka, tűzoltószertár megállóhelyig kell utazni.
- Déli irányból, Ómassa felől is közelíthetünk: ide Miskolcról a 15-ös számú helyi járattal utazhatunk Ómassa végállomásig.

- A Mályinka, tűzoltószertár megállóhelytől a K+ jelzésen, a Csondró-völgyön keresztül érünk az Ámor-forráshoz (1,4 km, 396 m szintemelkedés).
- Ómassáról a K jelzésen jutunk fel Szentlélekre, majd a Csondró-völgybe a K+ jelzésen ereszkedünk be, és a Kemesnye-völgy torkolatánál találjuk a forrást (4,5 km, 280 m szintemelkedés).
- A Szentléleki Fogadó leágazásától az országúton pár száz métert sétálva Miskolc irányába kapcsolódhatunk a K+ jelzéshez, ami a forráshoz vezet (3,3 km, 18 m szintemelkedés).
