A pilisszentléleki pálos kolostorrom

Pilisszentlélek határában áll az egykori Pálos kolostor romja.

A pálos kolostor épülete eredetileg egy, a XIII. század közepén épült királyi vadászkastély volt. Ezt az épületet IV. Béla király 1263-ban a pálosoknak adta. A szerzetesek 1287-ben kápolnát és kolostort építenek a mai Pilisszentlélek közelében. 1323-ban Károly Róbert ittjártakor írták alá a kolostor alapításáról szóló okiratot. Az egyházi épületről az utolsó írásos emlék 1512-ből származik, és 1526 után már bizonyosan elpusztult a kolostor. Végleges pusztulása a faluval együtt Buda és Esztergom török kézre kerülése után, 1541-1543 tájára tehető. Az egyszerű alaprajzú kolostorépületet sosem fejezték be véglegesen. Feltehetőleg emeletes lehetett, de mára csak az épület alapjait láthatjuk.
