Valaha a Varróháznál ágazott ketté a kisvasút pályája a ma is működő, másodikként megépült, Stimecz-ház felé vezető vonalra, illetve a legelső, a Hidegkúti-völgyben futó ágra. Utóbbit 2007 őszén szedték fel, szerencsére a Vöröskő-völgyben ma is járnak a vonatok.

Public transport
- Felsőtárkányba Egerből sűrűn induló buszokkal érkezhetünk (kb. 20-25 perces utazás). A Felsőtárkány, Fűtőház megállónál kell leszállnunk, ahonnan vagy vállaljuk a félórás sétát, vagy pedig kisvasútra szállunk egy megálló erejéig.

- A kisvasúttal párhuzamosan futó aszfaltút (K, P turistajelzések) Felsőtárkányba vezet.
- A K turistajelzés a kisvasút pályáján Stimecz-ház felé vezet a Vöröskő-völgyben.
- A P turistajelzésen Bélapátfalvát érheted el.
- A P+ jelzés keleti irányban a Büdös-kút-tetőre vezet, nyugat felé pedig a Berva-bánya irányába.
Parking
- Az Egresvölgy-Varróház megállóhely mellett ingyen parkolhatunk a füves placcon.
