On April 27, 1996, the local community of Klingenmünster opened a small museum in the birthplace of August Becker (1828-1891) in memory of the local poet. His granddaughter Frieda Becker bequeathed many of his literary works from the family estate to her grandfather's home community, including a first edition of his best-known work "Die Pfalz und die Pfälzer", published by Weber (Leipzig) in 1858. Those who visit the museum not only learn about Becker's numerous works, but the history of Klingenmünster also comes alive.
