Der Sella Nevea verbindet das Raibler Seental mit dem Raccolanatal.

Der Sella Nevea verbindet das Raibler Seental (Ausgangspunkt Tarvis) mit dem Raccolanatal (Ausgangspunkt Chiusaforte). Der 1190m hohe Pass bzw. Sattel ist nicht nur bliebter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderer und Skifahrer im gleichnamigen Skigebiet, sondern auch für Radfahrer. Vom Sella Nevea gelangt man Richtung Norden bei einer Steigung bis zu 21% zur Pecol Alm unter dem Berg Montasio. Beim Giro d'Italia endete 2013 hier die 10. Etappe.

Die (etwas schwierigere) Westanfahrt zum Sella Nevea ist mit einigen Tunnel-Kehren recht beeindruckend und lässt Rennradfahrerherzen höher schlagen. Am Sella Nevea angekommen wird man jedenfalls bei den Einkehrmöglichkeiten mit einer Stärkung belohnt.

Tipp: Die zahlreichen Viehweiden mit den Berggräsern und -kräutern in der Umgebung sorgen für die geschmackliche Grundlage des berühmten Montasio Käse. Der Käse kann ganzjährig in unterschiedlichsten Reifegraden in der Caseificio di Ugovizza direkt an der Hauptstraße in Ugovizza verkostet und gekauft werden.
