Enyedi István erdész halálának emlékhelye.

Enyedi István erdész volt az 1920-as években, aki a Maróti-hegyek alatt, a Barát-kúti erdészházban lakott. Ennek a háznak a melléképületében élt feleségével a hirtelen haragú és goromba ember hírében álló Kirerer Hugó vadőr. A feleség Kirerer bántalmazásai elől gyakran menekült át Enyedihez, aki egyébként sem volt túl jó viszonyban a vadőrrel. A férj féltékeny lett, és egy alkalommal a közeli Tetves nevű erdőrészben agyonütötte az erdészt, aki vadásztöltényeket indult átvenni kollégájától. Kirerer egy pocsolyába vonszolta a holtestet, így próbálta vízbe fulladásnak álcázni a gyilkosságot.

Vannak, akik szerint szó sem volt gyilkosságról. A goromba vadőrnek sok ellensége volt, és ezt a történetet csak a rosszakarói terjesztették róla. Valójában az idős erdész csak rosszul lett a kaptatón, és feltehetőleg egy szívroham végzett vele. Mások pedig úgy vélik, hogy Enyedit orvvadászok vagy fatolvajok ölték meg, mert az rajtakapta őket. Egy bizonyos: a zöld jelzésű turistaút mellett ma is áll egy kereszt, ami Enyedi István halálát jelöli.

Directions

  • A pilisszentléleki buszmegállóból déli irányba induljunk a Fő utcán a S jelzéseket követve, majd az első kereszteződésben térjünk balra a P jelzésre! Idővel csatlakozik hozzánk a Z jelzés; a kettő elágazásában a Z jelzésen folytassuk utunkat a keresztig (összesen 5,3 km).
  • Az esztergomi buszpályaudvarról a Z jelzéseket kövessük a keresztig (8,4 km).
  • Esztergom vasútállomásáról a S jelzésen sétáljunk 7 km-t, majd térjünk az észak felé kiágazó S+ jelzésre! A Z jelzést elérve térjünk balra; más csak pár lépést kell tennünk a keresztig.

A helyszínt autóval nem lehet megközelíteni!

  • Pilisszentléleken nincs kiépített parkoló; a KRESZ szabályainak megfelelően tehetjük le a településen a járművünket.
  • Esztergom vasútállomásán ingyenes P+R parkolót találunk.
