Die Kinderalm wurde 1919 in 1400 m Höhe gegründet. Über Jahrzehnte ermöglichte sie Erholungsaufenthalte für tuberkulosegefährdete und erholungsbedürftige Kinder, ehe der Betrieb 1981 eingestellt wurde. Heute besteht auf der Kinderalm das Kloster Marienparadies, das die "Kleinen Schwestern von Bethlehem", ein französischer Orden, 1986 gründeten. Selbstbemalte Ikonen werden ausgestellt und können erworben werden, ebenso Töpferware.
