The joy of life in the Palatinate and a romantic village right out of a picture book: Dörrenbach, the "Sleeping Beauty of the Palatinate," was awarded as the most beautiful village on the Southern Wine Route as early as 1975. Stroll past picturesque half-timbered houses, the old town hall in Renaissance style, and the historical fortified church, the open-air stage, or up to the Kolmerberg chapel or the observation tower on the Stäffelsberg.
Hike over sunny vineyards and through magnificent chestnut and mixed forests in the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve - with over 40 km of hiking trails just around Dörrenbach. Enjoy a wine tasting with our winemakers, and stay overnight in cozy holiday apartments & guesthouses.
