Das Arboretum verbindet die Gärten auf dem Weihenstephaner
Berg (Hof-, Parterre- und Oberdieckgarten) mit dem Sichtungs- und
Kleingarten (Straße: Am Staudengarten).
Rasenwege untergliedern das 6 Hektar große Arboretum, das zu jeder Jahreszeit interessante Aspekte bietet.
Vorrangig werden hier Gehölze getestet, welche eine
gute Anpassung an den Klimawandel versprechen.
Der Schwerpunkt der Baumsammlung liegt auf Straßenbaumsorten.
Directions
Mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ab Bahnhofsplatz Freising mit den Bus-Linien 638/639 bis zur Haltestelle Weihenstephaner Straße. Von dort in ca. 9 min, 600m zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Mit dem Auto über die Vöttinger Straße, links in Weihenstephaner Berg.
Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es am Fuße des Weihenstephaner Bergs.
