Starting point of the 1.4 km long circular trail: village square in Ludwigswinkel, then follow the marking of the "Rumbergsteig" trail (Rumberg Steep Trail) clockwise.
The Area 1 is a former nuclear weapon depot, protected as historical monument. 13 trilingual boards give all information about the function of such a depot and the history of the ammunition depot of Fischbach, which has often been reason for rumors. Guests can visit the interior of the guardhouse, the fighting positions and an ammunition bunker.
