A Dunántúli-középhegység utolsó lankáin, Pannonhalma szomszédságában találjuk a magyar népi építészet egyik méltatlanul elfeledett kincsestárát, a tápi szőlőhegyre vezető út mellett álló egykori zsellérházakat, amelyek szokatlan egységben maradtak fent az utókornak.
A három dombsorból álló (Pannonhalma, Ravazd-Csanaki vonulat, Szemere) Sokorói-, vagy más néven Pannonhalmi-dombság legkeletibb részén járunk, Pannonhalma szomszédságában. Táp ott található, ahol a Dunántúli-középhegység utolsó nyúlványai, a sokorói dombok belesimulnak a Kisalföld messzi síkjába. Itt, az utolsó lankákon találjuk a magyar népi építészet egyik – méltatlanul elfeledett – kincsestárát, a tápi szőlőhegyre vezető út mellett álló egykori zsellérházakat. A Sokorói-dombságban több helyütt találkozunk a Kisalföldre jellemző népi építészet emlékeivel, szoba-konyha-kamra kialakítású, tornác nélküli ereszaljas épületekkel (a tetőforma a teljes Kisalföldön egységesen oromfalas vagy kontyolt nyeregtető, szelemenes tetőszerkezettel, az oromfal pedig sok helyütt deszkázott).
A Hegysor utca mentén álló népi műemlék együttes a 18. században itt élt zsellérek életmódjának emlékét őrzi. A házsor egyedülálló értéke éppen abban áll, hogy egységben maradt fent; nem egyedülálló házakat telepítettek egy helyre, mint más skanzenekben. Az egész házsor egységben mutatja a Sokorói-dombság falvaira jellemző, 18. századi zsellértelepítések emlékét. Az itt látható ősi háztípus, az ún. ágasfás-szelemenes ház annyira jellegzetes, hogy a ma is eredeti helyükön látható házak mellett a Szentendrei Szabadtéri Múzeum kiállításán is látható egy ilyen, Tápról származó ház.

A skanzen előzetes bejelentkezés alapján látogatható, de a házegyüttest kívülről bármikor meg tudjuk csodálni.
