První toleranční kostel v Čechách byl postaven v Humpoloci v roce 1785 v barokním slohu. Dnes ho lze navštívit ve skanzenu Zichpil.

Základní kámen tolerančního kostelíka v Humpolci byl položen v roce 1785 ve čtvrti Zichpil, která je známá spíše svojí židovskou historií.

Toleranční kostely měly přísně předepsanou podobu a i ten humpolecký byl přísně kontrolován. Střecha byla původně zřejmě kryta došky, které byly při opravě v polovině 19. století nahrazeny štípaným šindelem. Vnitřek kostela byl prostý.

Poté, co byl na druhém konci města postaven nový chrám, sloužil toleranční kostel převážně jako kostel pohřební. Dále v něm působila Církev československá husitská a až do 70. let ho využívala i Českobratrská církev evangelická. Od té doby je nevyužitý.
