Southern Loop Around Humpolec

The modified route begins on the outskirts of Humpolec near the sports complex on Okružní Street. At the Bysterská gamekeeper’s lodge, turn left toward the village of Plačkov. Along the way, you’ll pass a place called U sv. Václava. In the 13th century, the village of Dobrá stood here; today, only a cross with a painting serves as a reminder of it. From Plačkov, continue past the villages of Mikulášov and Krasoňov to the cottage settlement by Sýkorka Pond. Here, a signpost will direct you to the picturesque village of Staré Bříště and on past the Vlčí hory area and along the shore of Vlčehorský Pond toward Lipovky. From there, the route leads to a rest area below Krásná vyhlídka, the highest point in the Humpolec area. You’ll finish your journey at the gamekeeper’s lodge, from where you’ll return to the center of Humpolec.
